  • Backyard Habitat-Spring Edition

    Plant it, build it, modify it and they will come….the birds, bees, and butterflies that is. Come learn about how to attract more pollinators and songbirds to your backyards by making some simple changes and additions. Participants will be able to schedule one-on-one virtual conferencing to work on their specific property after the initial class. Participants will receive an informational folder full of great publications, and several door prizes will be given away from local plant specialists.   • DIY Leather Earrings

    Come to learn the techniques of making leather earrings. Each participant will go home with two pairs of unique earrings!
  • Heartsaver First Aid

    This program teaches participants critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Content includes how to help a victim with bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Offered through the American Heart Association. A certificate of completion will be given at the end of the class. If you need the completion card, an additional $15 will be due to the instructor on the night of the class.
  • Learn to Play the Ukulele: from pick-up to performance

    The ukulele is one of the simplest and rewarding string instruments to play. This one-day class will provide basic instruction on tuning, reading tabs and chords, left- and right-hand form and playing songs. Ukuleles are available for use during the class. All ages are welcome. Class size is limited. Please bring a bag lunch or grab something from a local restaurant. Let’s go beyond hostas and the humbugs of traditional green foliage for these tricky shade areas. There are lots of woodland treasures that will add a nice glow to the shadiest swaths. Don’t overlook using native plants that can attract the birds, bees, and butterflies. We will look at using some of the smaller and better behaved native perennials to you garden spaces.
