    Coach Thelen & Coach Zee This camp will cover fundamental drills which will be used frequently for the upcoming Fall season. We will use the US Soccer Play-Practice-Play model to ensure everyone is learning and having fun. We will also introduce recommended conditioning training that you can continue to prepare for the competitive season ahead. T-shirt not guaranteed after July 5.     Coach Schwenzfeier Huskie Sports Performance will provide the most comprehensive performance enhancement training methods for becoming a better athlete. Consistent time and effort spent training in the program will translate into improved performance in any athlete’s respective sport.     Huskies Softball (Gr. 8-11)

    The Albany Huskies Softball coaches and staff will offer sessions to teach and develop in-field, out-field, and hitting fundamental skills taught in the Huskies Softball program. Sessions will include batting practice with a pitching machine and with live pitching. Defensive skills will focus on position specific fundamentals. Players will have a chance to learn multiple positions. Includes t-shirt and Double Bubble. *Current Grades 8-11

    Craig Coffman, Chords are Key Have you ever wanted to learn the guitar but simply find it difficult to find the time? In just a few hours you can learn enough about playing the guitar to give you years of musical enjoyment, and you won’t have to take private lessons to do it. This crash course will teach you some basic chords and get you playing along with your favorite songs right away. Since this class is being held online via Zoom, you will be able to sit at home with your guitar and take this class without any pressure at all. And since the class includes an online book and online follow-up video lessons, you will be able to continue your practice and study on your own. An optional periodic online question and answer session is also included along with a recording of the class. A Zoom link will be sent prior to the class. Class topics include: How chords work in a song How to form the three main types of chords How to tune your guitar Basic strumming patterns How to buy a good guitar (things to avoid) How to play along with simple tunes

This class is designed to give archers the necessary safety training, an introduction to using the Genesis Bow, and practice in the sport of archery. This immersive three-day program combines hands-on learning with engaging digital tools, offering a dynamic journey into digital art. Students will explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and apply what they learn to an exciting real world application. Through a partnership with No Grit No Pearl, students will be able to get their favorite design printed on a canvas or t-shirt which will get shipped to their house after the camp! Intro to Digital Art is the perfect blend of fun, skill development and boundless imagination, providing young artists with the tools and confidence to bring their visions to life.

    Denise Croatt, Avon Pickleball Club Member Are all of your friends and neighbors playing pickleball and you’re feeling left out? Never tried it but wondering what all the hype is about? Join us for an introductory class to learn all about the equipment, court, scoring, and rules and soon you will understand why pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the US! This sport is a combination of ping-pong, badminton and tennis and is much easier to learn than any of those three. We will get you up to speed in no time so you can feel confident to start playing the game with friends, family, and even complete strangers (not for long!). Paddles and balls will be provided! If class fills, an additional class will be offered at 7:15 pm.
  • Junior Pawettes Dance Camp

    Albany Pawette Dance Coaches Curious what the High School Dance Team is like? Join us for this camp instructed by members and coaches of the Pawettes Dance Team. Dancers will learn general technique in the styles we compete in during the winter season: Kick and Jazz. Along with skills, dancers will also learn strength and stretching routines and will participate in team strengthening and bonding traditions and activities the Pawettes Dance Team values.     Kids Company provides services for students in grades K-5 (PreK-5 in the Summer). Kids Company is open before school starting at 6:45 am, and after school until 5:30 pm. The program is also open on some non-school days and early dismissals, and offers summer programming from 6:45 am-5:30 pm.

  • Milkweeds for Monarchs - Via Zoom!

    Adam Hjelm, Sauk River Watershed District We have over a dozen Milkweeds that are native to Minnesota. Let’s chat about the wide variety of these great pollinator plants! Some are wildly popular and very common growing in gardens and local sceneries. We also will discuss where to buy milkweed plants and seed, plus how and where to add these pollinator magnets to your landscapes. Participants may request an informational folder, native plant book, and be entered into the prize drawing simply by emailing the instructor after class.

    Summer youth soccer is here! Learn the basics of soccer with practice and game sessions. Register by July 9 to guarantee a t-shirt. Volunteer coaches are needed to assist with drills led by Albany Soccer Club athletes and coaches. Coaches will receive free registration.     Sonya Hoffarth Join the Albany Softball Program to learn the basics of pitching fastpitch softball, from beginners to experienced pitchers. Athletes will learn the pitching progression pitchers use to warm up and practice: the T, the K, the full windmill and then the full pitch. The clinic is designed to prepare athletes for pitching summer leagues as well as junior high and high school softball, taking care to ensure pitchers are using legal MSHSL deliveries, are adding speed and are working toward accuracy. Past athletes have dubbed this clinic the Double Bubble Pinata Pitching Clinic (as Double Bubble and a pinata are part of the camp).

  • Preschool Camp and Wrap Around Care

    Preschool Camp promotes continuity between the preschool day and will assist in minimizing the stress of transitions for our preschoolers. This program includes collaboration with preschool teachers, and takes place during school time hours (8:00 am-3:00 pm), depending on your child's schedule. Wrap Around Care is provided before and/or after school time/camp hours (6:45 am to 8:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm). Students will be offered chances for free play, large and small motor activities, crafts and more! *Please note that Preschool Camp and Wrap Around Care are NOT options for all preschool classes. Please be sure that your child's class coordinates with a care option before registering.
