  • Albany Huskie Dive Camp

    Samantha Sells Dive in for lots of fun! Join Coach Samantha to learn beginning dives and proper diving technique. This class will serve as a foundation for participation in diving teams in the future. Students must have completed level 3 swimming lessons to participate.
  • Albany Huskie Girls Swim Camp

    Are you interested in learning to be a competitive swimmer? Then this is the activity for you! This nine-day camp will give you an introduction to all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly), teach you corresponding turns for each and show the proper technique for racing starts off the blocks. Head swim coach Karla Schneider, assistant swim coach Dana Crumley and several Albany Varsity swimmers will help you learn what it takes to be a competitive swimmer. It is recommended that you have passed level 4 swimming lessons and be a strong swimmer that's ready to step up to the next level. The camp will be informative, challenging and a LOT of fun! The final day will include a "Swim Meet" for parents and friends to watch and cheer you on! Register by March 17 to guarantee a camp t-shirt.
  • Babysitting 101

    This course follows the American Academy of Pediatrics Babysitter Lessons And Safety Training (BLAST). Students learn current practices for safety and injury prevention, first aid basics, feeding and caring for infants, how to handle behavior problems, and how to manage their babysitting business. Students receive a reference book, game handouts, babysitting bag and first aid kit.
  • Elementary Volleyball Camp

    Coah Hines and his coaching staff will introduce players to basic volleyball skills including serving over and underhand, passing, setting and attacking as well as practicing gameplay situations. This camp will prepare players for 5th/6th grade JO volleyball and those currently in the JO program. T-shirts are included but not guaranteed if you register after February 12.
  • Fundamentals of Weight Lifting

    This course is designed to teach seventh and eighth grade boys and girls how to perform the lifts and exercises associated with the Huskie H.I.T.S. program. A dynamic warm-up will also be covered during the course. This course is highly recommended for all athletes (males and females) who want to participate in before and after school weight training and the summer Huskie H.I.T.S. program. Three sections of the same course is being offered.
  • HIKEhoppers: Hike & Sweat

    From trail runs to station-embedded strength hikes, HIKE & Sweat seeks to build strong bodies by utilizing our natural setting for a great workout! Warner Park is located at 1485 County Road 143 Clearwater. Please bring your own snowshoes on January 4th.
  • Huskie Ski Club

    Huskie Pups Ski club is for students in grades 6-12 and meets on 3 consecutive Fridays from 4:15-9:00 pm (1:30-9:00 on Early Release Days) at Powder Ridge Ski Resort. Fee includes Transportation, Lift Ticket and Rental Fee (helmet rental fee, or lessons is an additional fee). Students are required to ride the bus. We must have at least 20 people signed up to run each session. Powder Ridge season pass families: We have a transportation only fee available for $45. Please make sure to select that price during your registration.
  • Powder Ridge Ski/Snowboard Trip- Early Release Day

    Grab your friends and enjoy Minnesota’s beautiful winter weather at Powder Ridge in Kimball! Lessons and equipment rental will be provided and are included, along with a lift ticket, in your fee. Students may purchase grill and snack items at Powder Ridge. If adults are interested in chaperoning the trip, the fee will be waived (must call to register)! This trip will max at 53 students and 2 adult chaperones. All participants must ride the bus to and from Powder Ridge. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 4 at Noon. Note: Discounts are not available if you choose to bring your own equipment. If providing your own equipment, it must have metal bottoms and retaining straps.
  • Quan Li K'an Karate Advanced Class

    Adam Patterson, 6th Degree Black Belt & David Torbert, 4th Degree Black Belt This advanced class will focus on the meaning of Karate and the application of the forms as they apply to real world self-defense. This program will be taught in a smaller group with the instructors helping students perform the self-defense techniques properly. The advanced class is required for any student wishing to become a first-degree black belt. Uniforms are encouraged but are not needed to attend class. New students who register before the third class will receive a free uniform. Testing: TBA.
  • Quan Li K'an Karate Youth Class

    The beginner class will focus on the fundamentals of Karate which include kicking, punching and forms. The program is taught using a series of group exercises and interactive games. Students will learn basic Karate moves and personal self defense in a fun and fast paced environment with an emphasis on discipline and self confidence. Uniforms are encouraged but are not needed to attend class. Uniforms are required for testing if the student wants to advance to the next rank. New students who register before the third class receive a free uniform.

Saturday, January 18 all students will attend 9:00 am to 11:00 am for a Huskie Basketball Clinic hosted by our Varsity Basketball Coaches and team members. On scheduled days between Feb 1-March 14 students will be combined into different teams. Practice will be one hour in length. The first half of the practice, players will warm up and work on basketball skills. During the last portion, the players will have an informal scrimmage. Emphasis will be on team work, learning basketball fundamentals and having fun. Scores will not be kept during the scrimmages. Jerseys are the same as they have been in the past (no need to order a new one if you have one that fits your child). Fee is $51 with new jersey order or $36 without new jersey order. Parent coaches are integral to the success of this program and will receive one FREE registration. Coaches are also asked to attend the Huskie Basketball Clinic on Jan 18 to learn age-appropriate skills and drills to focus on throughout the season. Based on parent feedback, an effort will be made to divide the teams into boy teams and girl teams if possible.   • Youth DodgeBall

    Come enjoy a variety of dodgeball games! Instruction and matches will take place that include Pin Guard, Team Elimination, Trench and more. Dodgeball is a fast paced, action packed and enjoyable game for all players involved. Excellent character building as well as great sportsmanship is expected among all of our participants. Foam “gator-skin” balls will be used for all instruction & matches.
