    Albany Area Schools Staff: Take advantage of this after school beginning-mixed level Yoga with Anne Hoeschen, Yoga Melrose RYT 500! Save by paying for all 6 sessions or purchase individual sessions. Class will be focused on mobility, stretch and strengthening, along with a good dose of balance and calming postures. Mats are available for use. Participants are encouraged to bring props, such a blocks and straps if you have them.

    Capri Loegering, Trendi Trays A small tray will be provided, and you will be guided on how to display meat, cheese, fruit, nuts, artisan crackers, etc. You will also learn how to make meat roses and discover the best grape and cheese pairings. You will leave with a little history, a completed tray to enjoy later at home and the skills to continue making your own boards! You can buy your own food and drink at the bowling alley.

We also will discuss where to buy milkweed plants and seed, plus how and where to add these pollinator magnets to your landscapes. We will help identify some of our favorite natives for a wide variety of soils, shade levels, and overall hardiness. Also learn some easy ways to integrate native plants into your current landscaping, or start a whole new project.   • Online Class: California Sushi Roll Extravaganza!

    Tess Georgakopoulos, Dish it Up Good When it comes to actual sushi that is made with sushi grade raw fish such as salmon or tuna wrapped in rice and seaweed, the sushi tolerance spectrum runs from a very strong “YES” or a very strong “NO” with little wiggle room in between. Enter California “sushi” Rolls that overwhelmingly turn the strong “NO’s” into strong yeses! Join Tess as she walks you through how to make a variety of the most marvelous California rolls that will make you wonder why you haven’t tried to make your own before. California “sushi” roll combinations are only limited by your imagination! Make them vegetarian, with or without seaweed, spicy or not, it is totally up to you! Learn the skill of creating delicious seasoned sushi rice, spicy mayo, and how to stuff, wrap / shape the rolls, with wonderful filling ingredients. One of these fillings is a “crab” salad that will be created using crabsticks. Make it a date night or family night as you create lasting memories in your kitchen! Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants as you cook along, and increase your confidence in the kitchen with each skill that is learned, and each little bit of advice and instruction that is shared. While cooking-along is loads of fun, and highly recommended, it is optional. Ingredients / supplies in case participants wish to order or shop early for some ingredients: Sushi rice, sushi nori /seaweed sheets, toasted sesame oil, (Japanese) rice vinegar. Additional ingredients will be listed in the information packet that will be received 5-7 days before the class. Bamboo sushi rolling mat can be helpful, but not necessary. The registration fee for this online virtual class can include participants from the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required. A virtual link and instructions will be sent prior to class. Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow enough time for shopping and preparation. A PDF with the recipes will be shared, and as an added bonus, participants will be invited to a Facebook group where additional recipes are shared on a consistent basis! No refunds will be given after the class ingredient lists have been emailed to participants.

Very versatile with the ability to take on the flavor of added goodness creating mouthwatering meals that will become favorites in your family’s dinner rotation. This may just sound too good to be true. Not only is this all true, but gnocchi are even simpler to make than other fresh pasta options! During this fun filled class, participants will learn how to create these little morsels of goodness, and then turn them into a scrumptious meal the instructor has created called Creamy Tuscan Gnocchi with Chicken, and make a wonderful loaf of fresh bread as well! Have some fun participating in this virtual Cook-Along class as we dive into the world of gnocchi Follow along step-by step, with our wonderful instructor as she guides you through the simple pleasure of creating these delicious tender bites of goodness.   • Yoga Flow with PK Yoga

    Paula Keck, PK Yoga MN Carve out an hour for yourself on Mondays and set the tone for your week. Join us for a 1-hour yoga class for all levels. We will cultivate balance, flexibility, patience and strength with a different theme/focus each class. Postures will include salutations, balancing, twists, hip and shoulder openers, as well as core work. Modifications will be offered to increase or decrease the intensity of the practice, making it appropriate for active beginners to intermediate students. Participants should dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, blanket or beach towel and water. If you have yoga props such as a strap or blocks, please bring them.
